Bomboniere / Party favors

Today I'd like to show you some of the items we've been working on lately, some confirmation party favors, just finished and ready to be delivered. What do you think about them? : ) We've made the chalk clovers on our own, and we perfumed them with white musk. For 10 party favors they're inside the little bag, while the other 10 have sugared almonds inside and the clovers are glued outside the bag.

I want to add that I haven't forgotten my beloved crochet, quite the contrary, I'm just too busy and I can't keep up with the blog as much as I'd like to, anyway I'll soon show you some new creations... in the meantime, I wish you all a lovely week!

December / Dicembre

Just a quick post to wish you all a merry month of December, full of coziness and warm thoughts while waiting for Yule (or Xmas, or however you like to call this happy holiday! : )). As some of you may have noticed there have been changes in my blog, first of all my name: yes, I'm called Valentina. Melatia was just a username I chose for the web, but in the end I grew tired of it and decided to use my real name. So, not much of a change, is it? Another thing, from now on I'll write in English first and then in Italian. Might sound strange, but when I first learnt English I felt such a love for the language, as if I had found something I lost once again... my love hasn't diminished through the years, and I know I'm not perfect writing and speaking it, but words flow much more easily in English, I have much more fun when I use it, so... tough decision? Not really, and I'm happy with it! : ) Talking 'bout creative stuff, I'm... busy, to say the least. ...

Winter? / Inverno?

I don't know about the places where you live, but here we've seen such little snow that it doesn't feel like Winter at all, and I'm pretty upset about it, it's not natural at all!  Anyway, regardless the temperatures, the wool calls, so I'm always working on something. Here I'd like to show you my very first knitting project, a scarf I made as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I know, it's not an original project at all, but I'm still very proud of it. Furthermore, the wool I made it with is special for us, as we bought it as we were on holiday by the sea this Autumn, and it's a wonderful yarn, the one I talked about in this post. Its color is much better that it is in the pictures, and it's oh so soft - I almost wanted to keep the scarf for myself! ; ) What do you think, you likey? In ogni c...

Finished! / Finito!

Hello ladies! How was your weekend? Hope it all goes well! I'm here to show my finally finished baby cardigan, remember ? I've already told you about the wool I used in my latest post, so I won't bore you any longer - just a quick note: if you happen to find it and you've got some knitting baby project in mind definitely try it out! It's thin but grows quickly, it's incredibly soft and it took me less than 100 g on 3.5 mm needles to finish this cardigan, which should fit a 6 months old. Ciao a tutte! Com'è andato il fine settimana? Spero tutto bene!
